For each node manager installation for managing the Diyotta services, node manager host needs to be registered under the corresponding Diyotta manager environment. To create Node Manager host under an Environments, follow the steps below. 

Step I:To navigate to Create Node Manager page, open the Diyotta Manager Console, and under Home, click Create Node Manager. 

Step II: The Create Host page opens. Provide details to configure and register the node managers host. The node manager host being added can be either installed from Diyotta manager or could be one that is already installed and being registered under the corresponding environment in Diyotta manager.

Option IIf you want to let Diyotta Manager automatically install the Node Manager on the host then, select Provide your SSH Private Key to automatically register hosts

1. Provide details for following fields. 

  • Host IP - IP address of the host on which you want to install Node Manager.
  • Host FQDN - Fully qualified domain name of the host.
  • Diyotta Home Directory - Path on the host where node manager service and Diyotta services will be installed. The path should be suffixed with /diyotta.
  • User Account- User id on the host where node manager service and Diyotta services will be installed.
  • SSH Private Key - Enter the ssh private key of the server where Diyotta Manager is installed in the text box or use the Browse button to upload the file.
  • SSH Port Number - SSH port number of the remote server.
  • The SSH Private Key File is used to connect to the node manager hosts to install the Diyotta Node Manager. This will allow to install node manager service from Diyotta Manager. The installation happens in the create service page. For more information, refer Adding Service.
  • Make sure the ssh connectivity between the Diyotta Manager host and the Node manager host is open.
  • Make sure the public key is added to the user on the host where node manager needs to be installed.

2. Enter the details where the Node Manager is to be installed and click Save.

3. The window displays the success message. 

4. Proceed to service configuration page or remain on the Create Host page.

To add services, click Continue. For more information, refer Adding Service.

To remain on the Create Host page, click Cancel

5. If you chose to navigate back to the Hosts page then, to come out of this page click Cancel. This brings you to the Node Manager hosts list page and you can see the new node manager host added in the list.

Option II: If the Node Manager will be manually installed and it needs to be only registered here then, select Perform manual registration on hosts and do not use SSH

1. Provide details for following fields. 

  • Host IP - IP address of the host on which Node Manager will be installed.
  • Host FQDN - Fully qualified domain name of the host.
  • Diyotta Home Directory - Path on the host where node manager service and Diyotta services will be installed. The path should be suffixed with /diyotta.
  • User Account- User id on the host where node manager service and Diyotta services will be installed.

2. Enter the details for manual configuration, and click Register. 

3. The window displays the success message. click OK.

4. Click on OK shows configuration page.
