Here you can view and manage the registered agent services. To add or register a agent service, refer Adding Service

To view the registered agent services, select agent tab in Host Services section. List of registered agent services appears with details and actions that can be performed on these services.

Three tabs - Summary, Config and Upgrade, provide details and actions that can be performed on the agent service selected. Below are the details of each tab.

Summary

This tab displays all the registered agent services and their summary details:

  • Host Name: Hostname of the server where agent service is setup.
  • Host IP: IP address of the server where agent service is setup.
  • Host User: User ID under which the agent service is setup.
  • Status: Displays the status of the agent service, it can be either Active or Inactive state
  • Version: Specifies the version on agent service.

Following operations are allowed on the existing node services Start, Stop, Restart, Edit and DeleteSelect and click on the button corresponding to the action to be performed.

  • Start: Starts the selected node manager service
  • Stop: Stop the selected node manager service
  • Restart: Restarts the selected node manager service
  • Edit: Modify the configuration set for the selected node manager service. This navigates you to node manager service configuration page. For more details, refer Adding Agent Service.
  • Delete: Deletes the selected node manager service.
  • Search: To search required service available in the list
  • Refresh: To get updated status of node manager

Following operations are allowed on the multiple existing node services Start AllStop All, Restart All. Select multiple services and click on the button corresponding to the action to be performed.

  • Start all: Starts the selected node manager services
  • Stop all: Stop the selected node manager services
  • Restart all: Restarts the selected node manager services

To add new node manager, click on Add New Manager Host. For more details, refer Adding Node Manager Service.

To add services to existing node manager, click on Add Services. For more details, refer Adding Service

This tab displays the configuration defined for the selected agent service. To view the configuration, click Configs tab and select a node manager service from Hosts drop down.

This tab displays configured properties and their corresponding values.

Upgrade

You can upgrade the agent service from Diyotta Manager. Follow below steps to upgrade the service. 

Note: Select a single service to upgrade. An error is displayed if multiple services are selected.

1. Navigate to Upgrade tab and select agent service you wish to upgrade.

2. Select the location from where the installer needs to be picked up. Make the selection from the Installer Location drop down. The location can be either Localhost or Package repository.

  • Localhost: If the installer is available on the server where agent is installed then, select this and provide the path where installer is placed in the Installer Path field.
  • Package Repository: If package repository is setup then, select this. The Installer Path field is defaulted with path provided in package Repository configuration.

The Current version displays the current version running on agent.

3. To view the versions available for upgrade, click on the Refresh icon under the Upgrade Version field.

4. If the agent service is active then stop the service from the Summary tab.

5. Select the required version to be upgraded to and click Run Upgrade.

6. Update status shows as 'Not Applicable' as default and changes status when Run Upgrade is being done.

    Initialization - Displays when upgrade of node manager is started

    In Progress - Displays when upgrade of node manager is in progress.

    Succeed/ Failed - Displays when upgrade of node manager is done and it shows the final status of the up gradation process.

Note: Click on Refresh to update the status in Upgrade status field.

7. Upgrade time shows last updated time of the agent. 

8. Click on Upgrade log icon to view the detailed log of upgrade process.

Log icon opens the detailed upgrade node manager log.

Note:

  • To close the upgrade agent log, click on Cancel.
  • To get updated log, click on Refresh.
